The Center for the ARTS was founded by Lois Saperstein in 1995. Saperstein has extensive experience in consulting, creating, and facilitating arts workshops and projects for schools, communities, and substance abuse prevention/treatment facilities throughout New Jersey, the United States as well as Canada and abroad. She has consulted with arts organizations across the United States on organizational infrastructure including strategic planning, marketing , collaborative partnerships and sponsorship. Saperstein established the Arts Marketing Partnership in 2002 as an earned income project to assist arts organizations in their visual communications projects thus helping them raise awareness of who they are and their impact upon their communities.

Vision: The arts, creativity and design are essential to a healthy, productive society. They can change lives and have a positive impact upon us all. The arts and creativity are the essence and thread which connects us all. The arts are all about self-expression, communication, engagement, participation and furthering conversation.
